Fall In Love

31. Fall in love

Where do I even begin?
Thank-you, Alicia Roberts.
March 16, 2012, roughly 10pm.
Benjamin Freudenthaler.

I have never in my life felt such a pull. The exact moment we made eye contact a bomb went off…
Not really, but oh my goodness, the chemistry! Who knew that brisk chinook'd night would be the catalyst for the rest of my life.

Almost 9 months later, I am the happiest I have ever been in my whole life.
What true love does for your health! It is a beautiful thing.
As of August 18, 2012, we are engaged to be married!!!

Yes, yes I know what you're thinking, "Oh my goodness me, that seems very, very fast for such a young couple! You don't even know each other yet!" Or something like, "What's the rush? You have the rest of your life ahead of you!"

I would like to say thank-you for your consternation, but I feel as though I must forgive you for your ignorance.

When you find someone who is: your best friend, your lover, your net when you fall, your slap on the wrist when you need it, but most importantly your family. You feel your true self worth. You are in sum, the very best version of yourself.
Ben is my best friend. Being with him, I am the woman I was meant to be. He encourages me, showers me with kindness, respect and honesty. Not to mention the romance! What more could I ask for in a man? And, I'd like to say that I do the same for him! =)

Since the very beginning, I have a had women-who at the time, did not even know Benjamin-tell me, "Christina, he's a keeper!" HELLO? IS THAT NOT THE BEST COMPLIMENT EVER?!?!

When you find someone who is willing to go that extra mile to make you happy, you are blessed with the best gift of all:
Irrevocable, true Love.

Five Months. You see Five months and you judge.

Seriously though, Ben your heart is so big and understanding. I feel safe, fulfilled and admired every second I am with you. What I fell in love with was your integrity and spirituality. I am so blessed to have met you.
Thank-you for believing in me until I started to believe in myself. Thank-you for being the anchor and comedian I need. You are everything. You are mine.

We want all the same things in life.

I am so happy to say that I am thankful we have the rest of our lives to reach for the sky!

Take Up Something New

18. Take Up Something New

I officially started taking up painting. =)

It is something I have always wanted to do/learn/practice; and I love it.
It is full of expression, fluidity and peace.

BE CREATIVE!

Witness Birth

59. Witness birth

Watched my cousin Natalie give birth to her beautiful baby boy Jaxon on May 18, 2012 at 1pm in the afternoon. Baby Jax is almost 8 months old (On Tuesday), and he is the sweetest thing I've ever seen. So calm and smiley! Such a cutie pie.
The only way to describe such an experience is to see it for yourself. All I can say is - Life.
It is beautiful. Miraculous. Awe-inspiring. I appreciated my mother so much more after witnessing the whole process.

Everything  from the early morning call, drive through Tim Hortons, waiting.
Counting the minutes in-between each contraction. Laughing, crying, …screaming. Haha!

I am so lucky and eternally grateful to have experienced it.

Thank-you Natalie, Chad and Little Brooklyn for having me there!
Love you all so much.
